The Trust has secured funding by the Lottery and the Robertson Trust to enable the Trust to employ a Development Manager.  Interviews are scheduled for December, with the expectation that the successful candidate will take up the post as soon as possible thereafter.

We are looking for an outstanding people and facilities manager who has a track record of securing and managing investment.  We need a confident and experienced individual who understands the third sector working with communities, boards and volunteers.  We want an excellent communicator with a background in community development/engagement and who is comfortable working both strategically and operationally. We need someone able to work flexibly to deadlines, ensuring community needs and wishes are sought, listened to and met.  This is a full and varied role which would suit someone living on or close to the Isle of Luing.

Organisation Profile: The Isle of Luing Community Trust is the community anchor organisation for the Isle of Luing, population 169.  It has a fully owned trading subsidiary Luing Trading Company. Luing is a fragile, remote Scottish island community with very limited services.   The Trusts vision is of “Ensuring a growing, happy and sustainable community”

We are community led and look to our community to help us identify our priorities which then informs our work.   Since 2005 the Trust has successfully carried out a range of work, the most significant of which has been the ten-year development and opening of the Atlantic Islands Centre (AIC) in Summer 2015.
